Real Madrid as mentioned is one of the biggest football clubs in the world. They have millions of supporters from all over the world. Wherever they play a match the stands are always filled, because every country has Real Madrid fans.

Because of the fact that Real Madrid is such a big club, the other Madrid football clubs are easily forgotten.

The second biggest club is Atletico Madrid. They play in the Primera Division as well.

Their stadium called Vicente Calderon has a capacity of almost 60.000. The club is traditionally the 3rd club in Spain after Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Another club is Cf Getafe which is located just outside the city, in the Metropolitan area. Though they have been founded in the late 80´s the club is starting to build up an interesting history. They made their way up to the Primera Division and into Europe. They reached the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup tournament in 2007 which they lost to football giant Bayern München.

Rayo Vallecano is a club with many different faces. They have been bouncing between the three Spanish divisions for the past 20 years. They played in the UEFA cup in 2001 but are currently playing in the third division again. But they might as well be at the top of the Primera division in a couple of years.
