If you wanted to experience magic in its truest form; do not miss to experience it in Crystal Palace in Madrid. I found the Crystal Palace which is located in Retiro Park magical. I witnessed the dancing of colors right before my eyes as the rays of the sun hit the glass that made up the Crystal Palace.

Madrid travel does not only mean visiting El Rastro, Paseo del Prado, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Puerta del Sol, Thyssen Bornemisza or the Plaza Mayor alone. But also a visit to Retiro Park which is the home of the Crystal Palace.

Palacio de Cristal is located in the heart of Parque del Buen Retiro or REtiro Park; it was made of glass and metal built in the year 1887 as a winter garden displaying exotic plants.

The Crystal Palace is dedicated to the country Philippines and made for the 19th Century Exhibition; it was modeled and has similarities with London’s Crystal Palace. The whole structure was reflected dramatically on a small lake near the palace with grey lag geese, black swans and ducks living on the pond. It also painted a picture of bucolic tranquility. Exhibitions to aviary shows are held here regularly. When is best to see the Crystal Palace with or without its exhibitions; it depends on who’s opinion. The structure can be pictured on all views. It always gives a stunning picture results whichever focus or view you take your shots. The work of art is very evidently offered in this glass building.

This glass building is 28 metres wide, 54 metres long and 22.6 metres high made copying the chancel and cross of a church. The Ionic style entrance door is one arm of the cross. Crystal Palace is a single building filled with so many history. From its making until now, it is part of the history of the Spanish land.

It could seal your travel in Madrid. What can you say about Palacio Crystal?
