It does not mean that you got a few euros in your pocket then you will stay with fabulous Spanish city like Madrid. Cheap Madrid holidays are very possible if you know the trick on it.

Here are two tips I would like to share with you for such cheap way as you visit Madrid.

  • A travel to a city also means a travel to museums, historical sites, and of course a meal on a restaurant. So, whenever you are in Madrid to do all these things make sure that you purchase a Madrid Card; is a card for free access or discounted access to top restaurants and tourist attraction in the city. It can give you much access on Madrid destination without the attached costly entrance fee. Usually the entrance fee to a museum is 3 euros per person with Madrid Card on hand you got a free entrance plus a free ride in Madrid Vision tourist bus. I recommend that you purchase the card if you every intention of seeing two or three tourist attraction per day and you will stay in the city for four or five days for your planned cheap Madrid Holidays. Prado Museum in Paseo del Prado; Reina Sofia Museum in Santa Isabel, 52; Retiro Park in Plaza Independencia or Palacio Real in Bailen ae just a few of the museums who visit for free with this card. It is free to visit Prado Museums during Sundays and 2nd of May, 12th of October, 6th of December, and 18th of May.

  • The other tip is how to eat cheap in this city. If you chose restaurants close to the tourist destination; then it caters to tourist and therefore very expensive. Keep off those restaurants. So, how can we eat cheaply? Look for restaurants with locals on it. This is an assurance that the food the restaurant serve is meant for the locals thus it is cheaper, more delicious and more Spanish. Yes! You got it right. You got to taste a Spanish food on your stay in Madrid with the least price. If you entered a restaurant with pictures on their menu then it is meant to be expensive too.

Getting discount card and eating inexpensively can already save you on cheap Madrid holidays.
