Places in Madrid that are for Children
We all know that the city of Madrid is rich in its culture, architectural structures, tourist’s attractions, nightlife and many others. Yet not only do adults can enjoy this spectacular city but also children, this is a city that is family and child-friendly. The Spanish people are family oriented and they take their children with them wherever they go and there is no reason for tourists who have children not to bring their children when they are in Madrid. There are numerous places in Madrid that are child-friendly and here are some of them;

Parque de Attraciones. This is the city’s main theme park which you can find in the Casa de Campo. There are areas that are for children only from older to younger children. There are plenty of shows for them such theater, entertainment shows and many others. There are also bars and restaurants for adults. The park opens everyday on the months of May to September and weekends would be for the rest of the months.

Teleferico. This is a cable car ride that can take you at about forty meters above and about more than ten minutes to get to Casa de Campo Park from Paseo Rosales. You will able to see the city’s attractions above. Children will enjoy riding at the same time looking over the city’s attractions, such as the Royal Palace, San Francisco el Grande Basilica, the Torrespana tower and many more. Some sights of the parks that you can see from above are the Plaza de Espana, Parque del Oeste Park, and also over the Manzanares River. The cable ride opens from the months of April to September, from mid-day to six in the afternoon during weekends.

Aquarium. You will find this aquarium in the center of Calle Maestro Victoria in Metro Callao. Children will get to enjoy and the adults as well in this aquarium, here you will find the usual marine animals such as sharks, piranhas and many more.

Museo de Cera. This is Madrid’s famous wax museum where you will find at the Plaza Colon. The museum showcases Spanish personalities and historical icons. The museum also has a Horror Train and a multi vision show where it shows the history of Spain in more than twenty projectors. The museum is open daily all throughout the year.
