Madrid is a blessed city having been abounding with great attractions that allures most of the tourists all over the world. As the capital city of Spain, Madrid does not only features modernization and contemporary ways of life, because some of their remains and ruins are still standing. The Plaza de Cibeles – one of the most stunning grand squares in Madrid amongst the many. The incredible majestic edifices surrounding in the city are amazingly captivating. This is a must see attraction in Madrid. The beautiful fountain that you can see here portrays the goddess in a chariot which is dragged by two lions. The beautiful fountain was built in 1777 and 1778 by the prominent Ventura Rodriguez.
Gran Via – this is one of the streets in Madrid that you should not miss to wander or drop by during your visit in the city. The street features an early 20th century of architecture. This street is one of the best shopping centers in the city. It also surrounded with magnificent and luxurious hotels as well as huge movie houses.
The Alcala Gate – in the midst of the Plaza de la Independencia stands one of the best landmarks in the city; the Alcala Gate. It was King Carlos III who asked and commissioned an Italian architect to construct a huge gate in order to replace the baroque 16th century gate which was said to be built by King Philips III. Today, the gate is one of the amazing landmarks to see in Madrid.
