It is as well the largest city in the country which caters more than 3 million populations.  Madrid has a unique and rich history that makes it one of the factors why Madrid is an interesting city to visit.  Visiting Madrid gives you the chance to experience artistic and cultural experiences that they have.  Additionally, Madrid as well is the political and financial center of Spain; while the south is appointed as the industrial focal point of the country.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In the mid 1970s it was Francisco who was the one who ruled Madrid but during his fall the modern city developed.  The Franco government emerged and the country itself underwent reconstruction and renovation.  Today, Madrid is appointed as an international metropolis with various interesting tourists’ spots that offers every visitor an unforgettable experience.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The city is particularly located in the heart of Spain (Castillian plain).  The best time to visit Madrid is during the fall and the winter season.  Though it is also great to visit here during the summer season however, the weather will possibly be drastically hot.  Winter season is quite chilly too so better bring something to cover you if you still plan to visit the city during this season.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Famous cuisines in the city are tapas, seafood and paella.  You can opt to various restaurants in the city that serves and features the best Spanish food. Also, you can choose to eat in the city’s international restaurants that include restaurants specializing delicacies from the France and North African influences.  For a drink, there are many choices amongst various spirits and local wines.</p>

If you want to have a cheaper accommodation to stay in Madrid, you can find one in the city center particularly in the noisier part of Madrid. Madrid as one of the big cities in Spain, they too have major festivals that are being celebrated every year, and some of these festivals are the San Isidro Festival which is the city’s fiesta and San Antonio Festival.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The feast of San Isidro is celebrated every 15th of May; this is a big celebration and the most important festival in Madrid, this is because San Isidro is the patron saint of the city. This is a month-long celebration in honor of their patron saint. There are numerous parties around Madrid; you will find weekend parties at the Plaza de las Vistillas, Puente de Segovia, and the Plaza de San Andres. You will also find concerts, fairs, art exhibits, parades and so on. In line with this festival, the traditional castizo is worn, which is a traditional dress and you will find delicacies such as barquillos which is a rolled wafer, fritters and doughnuts around Madrid; these are plenty during the festival.  Bullfighting fair is famous in this festival, usually held at the bullring, Plaza Monumental Las Ventas.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The feast of San Antonio is celebrated every 13th of June. The tradition during this festival is that young girls will have a date at the hermitage. There are also variety of concerts, dancing, fairs and other events around the city during this festival.</p>
