I’ve been a voracious fan of food especially when it is well served and have really a heavenly taste. When I come to visit a certain place or country, I always look for their food if it suits my taste. Aside from food tripping, traveling is also my passion. That is why when I have given the chance to travel in Madrid Spain I never let the time to vanish. I packed my things, all the necessary things that I should bring with me in Spain. During my flight at Madrid, I always have been craving of their foods. Because according to my research Madrid is the most famous cities in Spain that serves the best cuisine of the country. Accordingly, the city as well features the best restaurants aside from its neighboring cities.

I have read that the city of Madrid never has its own cuisine, and most of their cuisines only have influence from its neighboring city. Though the information I read was certainly true however, Madrid boastfully announced that they also have a few dishes which have similarities of its neighboring cities. Today, this fascinating city of Spain is appointed as the country’s richest gastronomic city not only in Madrid itself but all over the country. My flights to Madrid were really exciting. The moment I think of stepping on the city, all I think was their foods serve in front of me.

I am definitely not fat, I am in fact tiny. But I really love foods; it’s my way as well of complementing the place. I have tasted different type of foods in different countries. However, the best food or cuisines I have been tasted so far is here in Madrid. Come to think of it, I explored half the globe to search for the best food that suits my taste bud and to visit their famous attractions. I never thought that I could only found it here in Madrid. Another thing about the city, I was really impressed with the accommodation that they have. Madrid hotels offer the best ambiance and services. All the necessary facilities that you need are packed in here. This year probably this summer, I am planning to go back in Madrid for my summer holiday excursion.

Food is always essential in every travel. Knowing the food to expect in every city is a wise move for every traveler; visiting Madrid is no exception. Knowing what food makes the Madrilenos so healthy, friendly and passionate is one very wise and practical move for every traveler; so they know what to order and expect from the list of food in a menu and don’t end up ordering all the soup in the menu. So I have here a list of the most popular Madrid food you can expect in restaurants around the city.

Cocido Madrileño- It is one delicious stew made of meat, vegetable and herbs. The cooking of the stew requires patience and love of work for every ingredient added isw mixed in its appointed time to attain the perfect taste of Cocido Madrileño.

Rosquillas de ani- or anise-flavored doughnuts. This delicious pastry is made up from eggs, milk, butter, anisette, baking powder and flour. The dough from his mixture of ingredients is then shaped into rings and fried.

Tortilla de patatas- they call it the egg omellete or Spanish omellete with its special ingredients- fried potatoes. If French fries are your favorite then you will definitely adore tortilla de patatas. A favorite of the Spanish for picnics.

Sopa de Ajo- This Spanish soup used to be a peasant dish with its basic ingredients such as bread, garlic and water. Then in time addition of spices, poached egg, broth and ham made the soup much tastier.

Callos- One of Spanish traditional dishes. I could say that in this cuisine “don’t judge the taste by its look!” A very delicious Spanish dish made from veal trype, veal, pork fat, black puddings, ham, spiced sausages, parsley and flour to name a few.

Besugo al horno- this is referred to as Baked Bream with potatoes. This eaten usually in Christmas Eve. The best main course ever tasted.
