As the capital city of <strong>Spain</strong>, Madrid does not only features modernization and contemporary ways of life, because some of their remains and ruins are still standing.  It captures the attention of the many travelers and vacationers thirsty of seeing beautiful and unique attractions that they had not seen yet from the other destinations they had been.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>The Plaza de Cibeles</em> – one of the most stunning grand squares in Madrid amongst the many.  The incredible majestic edifices surrounding in the city are amazingly captivating.  This is a must see attraction in Madrid.  The beautiful fountain that you can see here portrays the goddess in a chariot which is dragged by two lions.  The beautiful fountain was built in 1777 and 1778 by the prominent Ventura Rodriguez.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>Gran Via</em> – this is one of the streets in Madrid that you should not miss to wander or drop by during your visit in the city.  The street features an early 20th century of architecture.  This street is one of the best shopping centers in the city. Madrid is very much famous due to their great monuments and captivating scenery.  Amongst the famous monuments in Madrid are the Prado Museum and the medieval center.  But again, these are just amongst the famous monuments in Madrid.  There are still many of the must see monuments of the city and it includes the following:</p>

<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>The Corpus Christi Convent or Las Carboneras</strong>—this is a convent which was founded by Beatriz Ramirez de Menodza in 1607.  Beatriz Ramirez was one ladies’s of Queen Ana de Austria.  It was her dream to build a convent for her daughter which was known as the first abbess.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Casa de la Villa</strong>—this is one of the most beautiful areas of Madrid because it has been surrounded by historical background.  Because of this you can still feel the essence of its history just like it comes back alive.  Casa de la Villa can be found in the Plaza de la Villa, in between the Plaza de Oriente and Plaza del Sol.  Recently, Casa de la Villa is used as the meeting are for official events.</li>

The Cason housed the 19th and 20th century paintings, while the Ejercito is known not only in Madrid but all over <strong>Spain</strong> as the primary Army museums.  The Ejercito houses the <em>La Tizona</em> which is the sword of the popular Spanish warrior <em>El Cid</em>.</p>
