All Holidays Lead to Madrid for a Reason

All aspect of a Madrid holiday can be found in this city. From culture connoisseur to the party animal; if you are a couple looking for a very pulsating nightlife and a good food during your stay then head to Madrid; if you want to travel far and see every nook and cranny of a certain place then head to Madrid.

I believe there is reason why almost all holidays both planned and unplanned mostly ended up in Madrid. Spending a Sunday shaking hands with Reina Sofia museum or formally named as Centro de Arte Reina Sofia and get a peak of the most popular and famous painting world wide, the Guernica is one satisfying activity for Madrid holidaymakers. A controversial painting by Pablo Picasso right after the Germany bombing during the Spanish Civil War in Guernica town.

The perhaps hop on a Madrid train ride to visit another Madrid symbol (of course besides the madrono tree and bear), the Plaza Mayor. A place that witness and stood against time. It is a witness of many bullfights and deaths- public execution. But now Plaza mayor is dotted with Madrid travelers, street performers, music, cafes that sold hot chocolate, picnicking family and so many other humorous sight, well during our visit this kind of street performer took the audience away to his world and crack a very loud laughter from the crowd. While people were taking pictures with King Felipe III as the backdrop this performer also grabs everyone’s attention.

While we are in Plaza Mayor right a nerve cracking laughter we have to head off to Mercado de San Miguel, the oldest market in the city. Well, you can buy fresh meat and fish in this area with a whole lot of other stuff that made the whole market sparkle with colors, sights and sounds.

These are just a glimpse of a ONE holiday activity in Madrid. So imagine what it store when you spend weeks in Madrid.
