Reasons that Make Madrid Spain Unique

MadridMadrid as the capital city of Spain has almost everything you are expecting for a city. But despite having a contemporary atmosphere, Madrid is still different and unique amongst the other cities all over the world. It still has the remnant that was built for years which you should not miss to see if you opt to spend your holiday vacation here.

One of the interesting views to take into account in Madrid is the Plaza de Cibeles. The plaza has been surrounded with awesome majestic buildings. Take time to pose for awhile to take some photos of it. After that, you can start strolling around the plaza to gaze for more scenic views that it has.

At the center of the plaza, you will notice the captivating Cibeles Fountain or the Fuente de la Cibeles. The fountain was said to be named after Cibele or Ceres—known as the roman goddess of nature. Since before, it was already considered as one of the significant symbols of the city. It was Ventura Rodriguez who designed the fountain in 1777 and 1782. This is the rushing place of the local fans to celebrate if the local football team, the Real Madrid won a cup.

The Palacio de Communicaciones or the Communications Palace in Madrid is another interesting landmark to view in the city. It could be compared as a cathedral-like landmark which was built in between 1905 and 1917. This impressive edifice houses Postal and Telegraphic museum. In 2007, it was considered as the official city hall of Madrid.

Every tourist can never forget to see and visit the impressive façade of the Palacio de Linares in Madrid. This baroque palace was made in 1873 by Jose de Murga—who was known as a rich banker. Eventually, after the many centuries had passed, the building was fallen and was again renovated in 1992. Today, the building is one of the most impressive and rushing sceneries to view in Madrid.
