My Madrid Summer Dream
If there is one city to spend summer- it would be Madrid. The city is said to be very hot during this time but I just could not help but love the summer nights in my Madrid travel. A visit to royal Palace, teatro or Puerta del sol one evening would seal the day’s activity.
I applaud the place for its very lively and sheer strong personality. The mere evening in the terrace and sipping a cool drink while gazing at the night city lights will captivate any tourist’s eyes and travel to Madrid already satiated.
They say Madrid is a city of extremes which I could relate. I am an accountant on travel representing a company; I just love the hot temperature during summer in Madrid and the cold nights during winter.
I remembered wearing my favorite summer dress made of very cool, light colored and thin cotton fabric while strutting Madrid’s street looking for souvenirs and things to shop. I will say Madrid, yes indeed knows how to live and how to make life a real fun. It was July that the summer breeze brushes my confusion away as my eyes feast on the beautiful craftsmanship lay down before my presence.
Spring and autumn are said to be really good times to travel in Madrid. The weather and temperatures are conducive to strolling and touring the city. The place will transform into a beautiful, paradise as the season change. But I love summer best because people are everywhere. Both local and tourist are prancing back and forth; some trying to visit all places of interest in just a couple of days perhaps hours.
Madrid’s prices though are quite expensive in fact the city is the 22nd expensive city in Europe. But a well chosen restaurant and hostels will make any Madrid visit very well spent and cheaper.
