Theatres

Madrid theatres are an excellent idea if you wish to experience authentic Spanish culture. All throughout the city, you can find various theatres playing a wide variety of genres from international musical, comedic theatres, to classic Spanish theaters. Most of the theaters could be found along the Gran Via or in the Opera districts.
The dramatic tradition of Madrid could be traced back from the classical playwrights of the Golden Age of Spain around the time of Lope de Vega during the late 1500 and early 1600.
The theater season runs in the summer - from September to June.
