Madrid is the center of Spain s flamenco. In the last 20 years, the dance has developed into a living passion. The ancient flamenco competes with the new flamenco in different parts of the city.
During the Flamenco Festival , various groups of talented flamenco musicians and dancers perform at the Albeniz Theater .
Madrid locals have their own unique dancing style called the Chotis. You may see this dance step normally during the Festival of San Isidro .

Teatro de Madrid

This fine-looking modern theater was recently constructed by the Madrid council. Teatro de Madrid is famous for its Spanish dance and classical ballet.
