Museo Sorolla

Museo Sorolla - Sorolla Museum

Joaquin Sorolla , a prominent Valencian painter, custom made the Sorolla Museum that was once his house in 1910. He was a popular impressionist during his time and when he died in 1932, his wife handed the house down to the state.
With minimal changes in order to retain the original charisma and ambiance of the house, it was then transformed into the Sorolla Museum .
The seven rooms of the museum are divided into its two floors. The entire museum presents Sorolla s family and lifestyle through his collection of art.
Outside the museum lie Sorolla s two miniature gardens where his massive collected works of fonts and fountains are found.
The Museo Sorolla is open, with a moderately priced admission fee, during Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 am until 3 pm. During holidays and Sundays, it is open without charge from 10 am until 2 pm. You may visit the museum via the metro and get off at the Ruben Dario or Iglesia station.
With this personalized museum, you will feel the warmth of its customized interior while enjoying the view of exceptional art.
