Museo Lázaro Galdiano - Lázaro Galdiano Museum
A reserved art aficionado, Jose Lazaro Galdiano traveled all over the world searching for treasures that will be an addition to his collection. Galdiano died in 1948 and donated his extensive collection to the state. Then, in 1951, the state officially opened the gallery.
The diverse collections include creations of celebrated artists such as Zurbaran, Rembrandt, El Greco and Goya. However, the major highlights of the Museo Lázaro Galdiano are Gainsborough s Landscape, El Greco s Adoration of Magi, and Caravaggio s Virgin of Charity.
You may also want to visit the exquisite collections of silver and gold items, various antique jewelries, old or used weapons and Russian enameling.
Located in the Florido Palace Park , this exhibit demonstrates both the historical and artistic ingenuity of Madrid .
