Museo de Antropologia - National Anthropology Museum
In 1875, a Spanish scientist named Gonzales Velasco created the Museo de Antropologia or the Ethnological Museum.
This is Madrid s most interesting exhibition since it displays fascinating collections of ethnic groups from all the continents in the world.
Some of its major highlights are the Zairian masks; Amazon s shrunken heads, and the Badajoz 7.5-foot man.
The Museo de Antropologia is located at Alfonso XII Street and is open every Tuesdays to Saturday from 10 am to 7:30 pm. Although there is an admission charge, it is reasonably priced and is well worth every dime.
To visit the museum, you may ride the metro and head to the Atocha RENFE or Atocha Station.
