Starts from June through August
There are two kinds of summer in Madrid. The first is the pleasant heat and the second is the intense heat. Normally, the pleasant hot weather is possible to last all through June and will return in the mid or late August. During this time, when the street life is at its best, it is the perfect time to visit Madrid.

| However, if you are caught in a Spanish adventure in Madrid during July or early August, you will experience one hot city, with temperature usually over 100 Fahrenheit. The main problem during these months is it rarely cools down during the night. So if you are lodging in a non-air-conditioned room, you could sweat more than you wish.

On the other hand, during these very hot weeks, local Madrid citizens escape the heat and go to other parts of Spain. Because of this, there is less traffic and the city becomes a peaceful community. Although many shops and restaurants are closed, those open establishments are likely to be free of visitors. If you wish to have Madrid to yourself, this is the perfect time to enjoy the city.

When you plan to visit the city during summer, it is advisable to wear short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts, sunglasses, shorts and sandals. You can also wear your preferred hat to block the sun off your head. If you have a fair complexion, it is also recommended that you use sun cream.
